Like most doodle owners, I was never educated on how to take care of my dogs coat, let alone her nails, teeth, or ears! But I knew I wanted my dog to be clean, fluffy and smelling good. So, to the groomers we went!
Time & money were lost to grooming appointment after grooming appointment. The results were short lived.
It took longer than I’d like to admit as a licensed cosmetologist to realize I could do this myself. And that these skills are actually really simple and easy to master if taught correctly, and using the proper tools. But those two things didn’t exist, until now!

I have never once had a vet sit down and teach me how to check for ear infections, brush my dogs teeth or trim their nails.
Neither have I had a groomer teach me how to brush and comb my dogs hair- or any basic grooming skills.
(except for the times I’ve asked & mentored)
As a Goldendoodle breeder I had tried to find a way to teach my clients, sending over poor-quality YouTube videos, making my own while in my kitchen, or showing them quickly as they pick up their puppies.
I was left empty handed when it came to finding at home grooming education.
I hit the same wall when it came to professional tools. They were either bad quality, too expensive or tacky colors.
After a solid year of researching, designing and sampling 100’s and 100’s of products, I am thrilled to offer the first of it’s kind, Pupwell.
IN THE BEGINNING, THE ONLY REASON I HAD SOME IDEA how to care for my dogs hair was my background as a cosmetologist. I was able to teach myself how to trim faces.
It took years of practice, and mentoring under groomers to know what I do today.
